Our k9 Program
Comprised of specially trained deputies and canines (police dogs), this unit conducts patrols, responds to calls for service, and provides critical support when called upon. The K-9 Unit is frequently utilized during felony apprehensions, narcotic searches, and to locate missing persons and suspects
Our k9 training
Our canine teams are trained and certified under the standards of the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association. It is the responsibility of the canine handlers to maintain proficiency with their canines in narcotics, apprehension, and tracking. They are given weekly training hours during their normal shifts.
